This Arts and Crafts style house was designed by architects Crouch & Butler for a Mr Constantine, with the photograph being commissioned by the Well Fire Co (the subject recorded in the Bedford Lemere daybook as looking towards the dining room). The murals were burnt in a fire circa 1977.
