The south wing of St Thomas' Hospital, which contains the Governors' Hall, was built in 1868-1871 to designs by the architect Henry Currey, with later additions in 1901 and 1904 by his son, Percival Currey, and in 1925 by Harold Currey. The photograph was taken for Hofler and Company.
