Description

Designed by Charles Mewes and Arthur Davis, the Royal Automobile Club opened as a gentleman's club-house in 1911, the year this image was taken. The Bedford Lemere daybook records P Turpin as the interior decorators for this room, probably a reference to Paul Turpin and Company of Berners Street, London.
