An unidentified pair of semi-detached cottages on the Possingworth Estate in or near Waldron, East Sussex
- Date:
- Mar 1921 - Apr 1921
- Location:
- Heathfield And Waldron, Waldron, Wealden, East Sussex
- Reference:
- BL25378/005
- Type:
- Photograph (Negative)
The cottages were once part of the Possingworth Estate, belonging to the nearby Possingworth Manor, and divided for sale in the early twentieth century. A sales particulars document relating to the sale of the estate in 1908 (see SC01134) states that two cottages were sold as part of the lot including Browning's Farm, but it is unclear whether the cottages pictured are those in question. The Bedford Lemere daybook does not record the client that this photograph was taken for, although photographs of nearby Possingworth Manor were taken for George Trollope and Sons, builders, so it is possible that the company also commissioned this photograph.
This is part of the Series: HBL01/01 Series of photographic negatives and prints; within the Collection: HBL01 The Bedford Lemere Collection
