A note in the Bedford Lemere daybook reads 'Mrs Docker', and the 1925 Post Office Directory records that Frank Dudley Docker C.B., businessman, financier and Derbyshire cricketer, owned a flat in the mansion block at 25 Berkeley Square, so we can conclude that the photograph may been commissioned by his wife. The mansion flats were constructed circa 1906 to the designs of F T Verity.
