This ship, built in 1905 for Hamburg America Line, was originally called Kaiserin Auguste Victoria. After the First World War she was given to Britain as part of war reparations and sold in 1921 to Canadian Pacific Steamships, who renamed her Empress of Scotland. The photograph is part of a set taken for the Canadian Pacific Railway Company.
