This French villa and its grounds dating from the early 1920s was later named Chateau de la Croix des Gardes. The photograph was taken for J Goldman who purchased the house in 1925, and who in 1927, opened the Palais des Bijoux in Paris selling the luxury jewellery brand Burma. The building shown in the photograph has not been identified in the Bedford Lemere daybook but may be garages with accommodation above.
