Description

The main body of the sign reads 'SAMPHIRE HOE TOWER By Jony Easterby & Pippa Taylor The Tower was inspired by traditional wooded fishing sheds and coastguard stations. The frame is French oak and the cladding Welsh larch. The sound installation is a symphony of sounds triggered by moving the telescope. The internal paintings by Saxe Impey evoke the nautical history of the coast as well as the local wildlife.' NB. The artists refer to the building as 'Samphire Tower'.
