A print of this image is in the Inventory Notes for Piddlehinton, Dorset III. This image is printed in the RCHME Inventory Volume, County of Dorset, Volume Three Central, Part 1. The plaque depicts a man in a tall hat and gown, holding a staff and a book. The plaque is engraved with latin verses and inscribed: 'Here lieth inerred te body of m Thomas Browne clerke who lived parson of this place seaven twentie yeares and beinge sixtie seaven yeares old depared his lyt te 4th day of October, 1617'.
