China Wharf is an early example of regeneration of London's docklands, designed by Piers Gough of CZWG and built in 1982-83. The Baroque curves facing the Thames contrast with the landward elevation which alludes to the 19th century warehouses which were formerly on the site. Reeds Wharf, beyond, is a former granary converted into a mixed use building.
