Description

Wooden planks belonging to a Bronze Age boat were found on the shore of the River Humber at Ferriby in 1931. Two further boats have since been excavated. The Ferriby boats are the earliest known boats found in Europe. This painting was created to accompany a press release, and is artist Judith Dobie's copy of an earlier painting by Ted Wright.
