Description

The painting is believed to have been a design proposal for the front cover of 'A History of Aerial Photography and Archaeology' by Martyn Barber, published in 2011, although it was not used for that purpose. It illustrates the occasion when the first aerial photographs of an archaelogical monument in Britain were taken.
