5010 (north-west side) TQ 17 NW 4/98 Robins memorial approx 12m S of Church of St Mary II. GV 2.

Chest tomb. Possibly by Sir John Soane: commemorates John Robins, d. 1831.

Limestone. Urn with acanthus-leaf carving surmounts heraldic shield flanked by palm fronds and sarcophagus-shaped chest tomb. John Robins was a supplier of furniture to Sir John Soane, who designed Robins' house at Norwood Hall (q.v.).
