LANGPORT CP NORTH STREET (East side) ST4226 11/133 Stone House - GV II

House. c1840. Local stone rubble with ashlar dressings, all painted; Welsh slate roof of shallow pitch between coped gables; stone and brick chimney stacks. Two storeys, 2 bays. Horizontal bar casement windows in toothed ashlar surrounds having 4-centre arched heads to lights, 3-light below and 2-light above: blind rectangular panels between upper windows; the lower windows set in slight projection under hipped slate roof; 4-centre arched recess to central doorway, up 4 steps. Interior not seen. Late example of cottage ornee.
