HUISH EPISCOPI CP SOMERTON ROAD ST42NW LANGPORT 5/68 Front boundary wall and gateway - with overthrow, Kelways Nurseries GV II

Front boundary wall and gateway. Probably late C19. Local lias stone walling with Ham stone copings, and piers with similar moulded tops, about 700 mm high, capped by rod rails with cast iron spearheads: matching gates in centre, and carried by steel stanchons, a wrot-iron overthrow with name 'KELWAYS' in large wooden letters: all part of the setting of these nurseries, founded 1851 as the Royal Nursery, but later taking the name of its founder.
