LONG SUTTON CP HERMITAGE ROAD (East side) ST42NE UPTON 6/162 Bridge Cottage - II -
Detached cottage. C17 or earlier. Local lias stone roughly cut and squared; thatched roof, half-hipped on south gable, plain north gable; brick end and intermediate chimney stacks. 'T' plan: single-storey with attic, 4 bays. Casement windows with cross glazing bars, probably early C19, under chamfered and moulded timber lintols at lower level: boarded door in moulded frame to bay 2 in C20 stone, timber and tiled porch: left of bay 1 a small lean-to, also single-storey thatched extension to rear. Interior not seen.
