LANGPORT CP THE HILL (North side) ST4226 11/110 The Rectory, with front boundary railings (previously listed as The Vicarage) 17.4.59 GV II

Detached house. c1800. Fine-jointed red brick in Flemish bond; plain clay tiled roof between stepped coped gables; brick end chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays. Sash windows of 16 panes in plain openings with fine gauged brickwork flat heads; central part-glazed door with cast-iron openwork porch under lead bell-hip roof. Interior not seen. Four metres south of house, low Ham stone base wall surmounted by wrot iron collared pointed railings, with pedestrian gate to match, all adding to setting of house and streetscape generally in this area.
