Cottage, early-mid C19. Squared tooled stone; Welsh slate roof with yellow brick stacks. 1 storey , 2 bays. Central renewed studded door flanked by renewed 6-pane sashes; all openings with Tudor-arched heads and hoodmoulds.

Inscribed plaque to right of door: THE HON. SIR JAMES BROWN PATTERSON K.C.

M.C. PRIME MINISTER OF VICTORIA AUSTRALIA 1893-4 WAS BORN HERE 1833'. Coped gables; stepped-and-corniced end stacks.

Flat-roofed extension to rear is not of special interest.
