By John Gibbs of Oxford. Dated 1864. Statue of Prince Albert in Elizabethan costume carrying a scroll, on a hexagonal ashlar column carved with shields and flowers in medallions, flanked by four sandstone columns, foliated capitals, supported lions with shields, the whole of a plinth with frieze and cornice with carved medallions of the Queen's head and the royal monogram. Four steps.
