LUDGVAN SW 53 NW 5/26 White Cottage - GV II Farmhouse. C17, eaves heightened in the C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings.
Concrete tile roof. Original granite chimney over left-hand gable end. Rear lean-to has scantle slate roof and brick chimney over right-hand gable end.
Plan: Originally 2 rooms: larger hall/kitchen, left, and parlour, right, with cross or through passage between. C19 lean-to at rear middle and left.
Exterior: Nearly symmetrical 3 window east front. Doorway central to fenestration and all slightly towards right. Gable ended stone porch with scantle slate roof in front of doorway. Original C17 chamfered ground floor openings. Cills of windows lowered and central mullions removed. First floor openings altered in the C19 but incorporating some C17 window masonry. C20 door, circa late C19 or C20 horned sashes.
