TOWEDNACK CHURCHTOWN, Towednack SW 43 NE 4/218 Schoolroom at approximately 500 - metres east of Church of Saint Towennac GV II

Schoolroom. Circa early C19 remodelled circa mid C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate roof with brick chimneys over the gable ends.

Plan: rectangular probably 2-room plan with larger room left of entrance. Later C19 lean-to at far left.

Exterior: single storey. 3-window north-east front with gable ended porch right of middle. Doorway in left-hand wall of porch. 2 original window openings left of porch with heightened sills and circa mid-C19 24-pane hornless sashes. Right of porch and right of a straight joint in the wall is a circa late C19 12-pane horned sash. Rear has windows in opening opposite those at the front. 2 original 30-pane hornless sashes opposite the 24-pane sashes and 12-pane sash opposite the similar 1 at the front.
