Former village school, now dwelling. 1862 by T. H. Wyatt. Coursed rubble, dressed flush quoins, coped verges, rubble and dressed stone stack with moulded cap, coped verges and 2 gables with coping to frontage. Asymmetrical, Gothic Revival. Two storey frontage, 2:1:1:1 bays; to left 2 tall 2-light moulded stone mullioned and transomed windows, each light with a trefoiled head, separated by a buttress with an offset. Next bay in a projecting wing, single 5 light mullioned window with 2 transom bars, each light with a Caernarvon head, a stopped label over with a relieving arch above. To right end a smaller gable, 3 light mullioned window on ground floor, each light with a trefoil head, similar 2 light opening to first floor, both under stopped labels. Glazing bars forming diamond shaped panes to all window openings. Door opening in pent roofed porch between projecting wings, in a conforming style, vertical plank door, ornate strap hinges and latch ring. Plain stone bands across frontage at transom, sill and head level. A large clock inset in face of left gable, to ridge a gabled stone bellcote with bell. Forecourt wall extending 35 metres to right and 30 metres to left of central rubble gate piers with dressed caps terminating in a similar pier to each end; further rubble wall extending 15 metres to left of left pier, ending a further similar pier. Paired C20 slatted gates; flight of 9 dressed stone steps running up to door opening.
