WOKINGHAM ROSE STREET SU 8168 NW (North west side) ) 18/47 Nos. 40, 42, 44 and 44A 2.10.69 G.V. II Hall house, now veterinary surgery with flat over, and cottages. Early C16, altered C18 and late C20. Timber framed encased in part brick; and part rendered, painted brick. Old tile gabled roof. Rectangular plan of 4 framed bays, former hall in centre. 2 storeys. Central chimney.

Black painted plinth. Road front:- No. 44 and 44A rendered, with 2 bays C20 3-light casements, one small C19 casement first floor on right.

Entrance C20 planked entrance doors in centre, the door on right adjoining C20 3-light casement all under segmental arched head. Nos. 40 and 42 brick, with similar 2 bays of casements more widely spaced; 2 entrance doors between planked on left, half glazed on right.
