MORCHARD BISHOP POLSON HILL, Frost SS 70 NE 5/183 - Fernside GV II
House. C18. Plastered cob on rubble footings; rubble stacks with C19 brick chimney shalfts; thatched roof. 2-room with central through-passage plan cottage facing south-west. Left (north-west) passage partition removed this century. End stacks.
2 storeys. Almost symmetrical 3-window front of C20 casements with glazing bars, most copies of C19 casements. Central doorway contains C20 glass door and C20 hood with corrugated plastic roof supported on raking struts. A West of England Insurance Company plaque is set high in the wall between central and left hand first floor windows. Roof is hipped each end.
Interior: both ground floor rooms have plain chamfered cross beams and blocked fireplaced. Roof not inspected.
