NZ 15 SW STANLEY A 692 (North side) Dipton 6/132 Gate piers and walls in front of Pontop Hall GV II Gate piers and garden wall to Pontop Hall (q.v.). Early C18. Sandstone rubble wall with stone coping; ashlar piers. Wall about one metre high in front of house, interrupted by wide entrance with 2 piers. Piers are square, with alternate-block rustication and large cornices; ball finials on cruciform scroll brackets, one bracket missing.
Wall continues around garden at right, and is ramped to 2 metres high.
