C17, altered C18 and C19. Rubble and ashlar, slated roof with stone coping and kneelers to gables, 3 pedimented dormers. 2 storeys and attics; road front plinth, 1st floor band, slightly projecting bonded quoins, 3 sash windows under keystones and 2 light stone mullioned cellar window on left. South side gabled with early C19 windows. L plan filled in with 1 storey closed porch circa 1830 with castellated parapet. One of the 3 manor houses of Great Houghton.
Great Houghton House, Garden Wall and Outbuilding form a group.
