11/264 Cannock monument, about 9m south of south-west corner of Church of St. Peter and St. Paul

GV II

Pedestal tomb; John Cannock of Elton, died 1813; stone. Corners indented: flat lid with moulded edge; above slight step set back, with low pyramid cap. Below frieze with alternate vertical triple reed and patera. East and west faces raised rectangular panel with well-indented semi-circular head, moulded edge, oval paterae in spandrels carved in flat surface. North and south faces same, but panel flush, outline formed by triple reed. Moulded top to plinth, on flat stone base. Later inscriptions.
