7/8 Harper monument, about 3m south of east end of nave, in the churchyard of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels

Headstone, John Harper, died 1757. Stone. Segmental top, anthropomorphic front to stone, winged cherub's head above, scrolls and leaves around inscription. Slightly chamfered back.

particularly finely carved and well preserved, well-cut lettering: best of a good selection of early to mid C18 headstones.

Commemorated died of smallpox.
