STEEPLE ASHTON CHURCH STREET ST 95 NW (off north side) 7/217 Two monuments in the churchyard between 3 and 7m south of chancel of Church of St Mary the Virgin GV II

Two chest tombs. South tomb early C18, wide 'double' tomb with richly carved drapery, skull and cross bones to south side, fielded pilasters to moulded cornice and moulded flat top, north side has two octagonal panels. Late C18 tomb close to east corner of south chapel has two recessed moulded panels, moulded flat top.

Illegible inscriptions.
