1880. Built for retired royal servants by order of Queen Victoria. Symmetrical group of almshouses of one-storey and attics deep red brick with tiled roof.
Gables at different levels and pitch. Steeply pitched gable ended roof with some fishscale tiles. Dormers. Casement windows with leaded lights having hexagonal panes. Grouped varied gabled and pointed porches. Nos 1 and 8 have separate porches. Picturesque.
