An early C19 white brick house with stucco pilasters rising through 2 storeys, a deep stucco frieze and cornice. It was butt in 1815-17 by Spenser Phillips, the first owner, The east front has 3:3:1 window range and the south part, of 3 window range breaks forward slightly with a central stucco Doric portico with plain columns in antis and cornice. At the north end there is a later Victorian addition of 1 window range. The south front has 5 window range.

The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in stucco moulded architraves.

The ground storey has tall sashes with cornices and the centre window on the south front is a French casement opening on to a balustraded terrace.
