CLAMMER HILL 1.

5393 (East Side) Grayswood 3.12.53. Clammer Hill House - and Little Clammer Hill SU 93 SW 10/23 II 2. Clammer Hill House is a double-span house, front range of late C17, back range a little earlier with 2 northern bays still older. Entrance front of 2 storeys, 5 bays. Hipped tiled roof, deep moulded eaves cornice. Fenestration much altered: early C19 sash windows with glazing bars in different openings. Red brick with diaper of blue headers (window infill of different brick). Traces of original rubbed brick arches. Added central pent porch. Two builds visible behind with chimney at junction. Modern link to Little Clammer Hill, former coachhouse. Large malmstone rubble below, timber framing above hidden by modern brick and timber cladding. Varied windows, mostly C19 casments; and carriage doors at front left with loading door over.
