A symmetrical composition of two storeys with attic, with upper and lower cornices, and balustrade with urns. At each end are quoin strips on the ground floor and paired pilasters above. The centre of the facade has similar emphasis, with an oriel window above the doorway and an elaborate attic dormer with broken pediment. The lower part of the oriel is inscribed "1883". Each half of the facade has an emphasised centre with triple windows (the outer ones narrower) and pedimented attic dormer, and has two windows to each side. These windows have architraves. On the ground floor they have broken pediments with terra cotta decoration. Built as the printing and publishing offices of the Free Press Co. Illustrated in VCH, P 73.
