2 Almshouses. Late C16 or early C17 with later alterations. Timber framed and plastered. Red plain tiled roof. Red bricked-up front. Red brick buttress to left. Single storey and attics. 4 window range of C19 casements with glazing bars. Two boarded doors and plain surrounds. Exposed timber beams next to the door to left. On each door is a large brass plaque "Ye 15th century. C19 red brick diagonal chimney shafts to left and right. Moulded brick eaves cornice. 2 dormers at rear light the attics. Built from bequest of Anne Sidney, Lady Fitzwilliam, whose Will was proved 1602. RCHM 5.
