House. Mid C18, extended across the front in the early C20. Red and blue brick on original wing, whitewashed render cladding to front; plain tiled roof, hipped across front. T shaped plan with old wing to rear. Two storeys with end stack to rear left and rear ridge stack to centre of new front.

Old wing: three bays, former regular front now altered. Mixed fenestration with three windows on first floor, one glazing bar sash window to left, single casement to centre and 3-light casement to right. Ground floor windows: two glazing bar sash windows to left, casement doors to the right. Taller wing parallel to rear.

New Wing: Regular, with angle rusticated quoins and modillion eaves cornice. Three tripartite glazing bar sash windows under cambered heads to first floor. Plat band over ground floor, two windows below.

Central flat roofed porch with angle pilasters and panelled door.

The house was once the home of William Cobbett, author of "Rural Rides".
