BISHOPS WALTHAM HIGH STREET - WEST SIDE SU 55 17 9/57 Nos 10 (Taylor Tredre) and 12 Wellar Eggar) GV II

House, now shop and office. C18, with C19 alterations. Front wall of stucco, tile roof. Symmetrical east elevation of two storeys three windows. Victorian sashes. The ground-floor has a pair of double fronted late C19 shopfronts. The rear (west) of the building, facing Brook Street, shows a series of additions, with a complex of roof shapes indicating different phases of contruction. Walls of painted brickwork, with exposed framing to the south side gable, some tile- hanging (to a staircase wing): roofing with gable, half-hip and hips at a higher level, gabled and hipped dormer: vernacular details.
