BISHOPS WALTHAM ASHTON LANE SU 51 NW 3/6 Nos 1 and 2 Dell Cottages II
House, extended and now two cottages. Cl7 timber frame with C18 recladding, mid C19 rear extension, with C20 further extension. Gable with exposed frame in the upper part above a brick wall, with a flint plinth, the front wall is brickwork in Flemish bond with cambered openings, the rear wing has flint walls with brick dressings. Half-hipped tile roof, lower to the rear wing. Old rectangular block with rear wing (facing the roadway) of the later periods, forming an L-shape. South-west front elevation of two storeys three windows: casements, boarded door (No2) in a plain frame, another doorway bricked up. The north-west elevation has the gable, at its south side, of two storeys, 3.0 windows: casements, C20 door within a hipped tiled canopy on posts.
