Mid C18. A arge house of 5 storeys in brick. Welsh slate roof with Stacks at gable ends. Rusticated quoins. Of 3 bays, the centre slightly advanced, 5 windows with plain keyblocks, the central featured and having moulded architraves No glazing bars to 4 windows on ground floor. Stuccoed doorcase with Ionic columns, supporting frill entablature and dentilled pediment; barred segmental fanlight. Wood modillion eaves cornice. Single-storeyed wing to right with 3-light angular bays. Visually important in the town.

Forms a visual group with Nos 56 and 58 which are of local interest.
