EAST STREET 1.
5231 (South Side) Titchfield Nos 6 and 8 SU 5405 6/445 II GV 2.
Timber framed building with square panel framing visible in the east wall and inside.
Street facade refronted in late C18 early C19, grey headers with red brick window dressings, quoins and modillion eaves cornice. Half hipped tiled roof. 2 storeys.
4 windows in all including lst floor blank, 3 windows ground floor, all sashes with late C19 glazing. No 8 has canted ground floor bay. Doorways in moulded architraves with pediments. No 6 has panelled reveals and 6 panelled door, top 2 panels now glazed.
Nos 3 to 39 (odd) and Old Clarendon House form a group with Nos 2, 6 and 8, Nos 14 to 18 (even) Nos 22 to 26 (even) Rockstone House and Nos 5 to 11 (odd) The Old Lodge and Old Lodge Cottage High Street, Titchfield (Nos 14 to 18 (even) and Nos 22 to 26 (even) are buildings of local interest).
