Late C18 red brick house with low-pitched hipped Welsh slate roof. Moulded eaves cornice. Square on plan. Three storeys. Three bays. Sashes without glazing bars in segmental-headed openings, ground floor round-arched windows with keyblocks and central blocked doorway with panelled pilasters, moulded console brackets and pediment.

Right hand (south-east) return: 3-storeys, 3 bays, ground floor 2 Victorian canted bays and central blocked doorway.

Formerly the headmaster's house of the grammer school founded in 1650.
