3/26 No 39 (Chain Bar House) (formerly listed as Chain 16.12.66 Farmhouse)

GV II House. Late C18 with later alterations. Brick in Flemish bond with darker red brick dressings and quoins. Pantile roof. Hallway entry. 2 storeys, 4 first-floor windows. 6-fielded-panel door beneath radial fanlight in elaborate doorcase with moulded archivolt, paterae to spandrels, fluted pilasters carrying beaded frieze and pediment with plaque and swags in tympanum. Sashes with glazing bars and quoining to jambs beneath segmental painted arches throughout, 2 to either side, those to left in 2 wide bays, those to right in narrow bays. First-floor band and dentilled eaves course.

Gable coping, shaped kneelers, right end and ridge stacks. Interior not inspected.
