Memorial Urn in North West corner of the grounds of the SU 1430 SE 2/336G Council House (Wyndham Park)

II 2.

Monument commemorating the discovery of Anglo Saxon remains on this site in 1774. Stone plinth with cornice capping surmounted by stone urn, squat unusual shape "picturesque" interpretation of Saxon, decorated with guilloche band.

The plinth bears Latin inscription and date. Very weathered.
