5/153 Wrington Primary School 14.1.85 II

Primary School. Late C19. Squared and coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, flush rusticated dressed stone quoins, stone copings and plain tile roofs. Free- form Gothic style with headmaster's house to left-hand and school rooms to right- hand. School room is a symmetrical composition comprising a 5-bay elevation with 2 tall end gabled advanced bays and a 3-bay recessed section with 2 further gables.

Chamfered cross-mullion fenestration to minor windows, panelled Perpendicular style tracery under segmental heads to major gabled sections. Central part- glazed entrance corridor with Tudor-arched doorway and plank door. Master's house has cross-mullion fenestration with some windows in canted bays, is of 2 storeys on an L-shaped plan with porch in the angle. Pyramidal cap to porch, gabled roof to remainder. Several ridge brick stacks.
