SU 08 NE PURTON CHURCH END

8/298 No. 4 (The Butt Hay) (formerly listed as No 4) 17.1.55 GV II

House. C17-C18. Limestone rubble. Stone slate roof. Single storey and attic. Three-bays. Door to south gable end in C20 porch. Two-light leaded timber casement windows, but 3-light stone mullioned window with hoodmould in north gable. Small bay with lean-to roof. Raked dormers to upper floor. Left stack and roof half-hipped to right gable. Building said to have been originally an extension at right angles to church hall on south end, now demolished.
