GV II

Cottage row. Circa 1860-70. Ground floor of snecked dressed ragstone with yellow stock brick dressings. Mock half-timbering above, jettied on joists and beam-ends over ground floor under gables. Plain tiled roofs with tall ridge stacks of snecked dressed stone with yellow stock brick dressings, in centre and towards left and right ends. Some original octagonal decorated clay chimney- pots surviving at time of re-survey. Gabled projections, deepest at each end, with two also flanking projecting centre. 5 gabled semi-dormers, 1 in centre and 2 each in flanking recesses. 1 storeys; 9-bay front, hexagonal lozenge lattice iron casements. Entrances, in lean-to 1-storey extension at right-hand (No 32), in left end (No 22), in centre of side recesses (Nos 24 and 30), and paired in centre (Nos 26 and 28). C19 boarded doors to Nos 24 and 28, C20 glazed on half-glazed doors to the rest.
