House. C15 former hall house with crosswings. Timber framed and weatherboarded, with red plain tile roof. 2 storeys, and attics. Jettied and gabled crosswings. 4 window range C19 casements. Crosswings linked by long wall jetty. Small early C19 shop with grey slate lean-to roof, now forms Post Office. Gabled dormer. Late C18 weatherboarding with bead moulding. Original open hall virtually rebuilt late C15 or early C16, and west wing extended C17.

Large C16 red brick chimney stack with 4 octagonal shafts. The east wing is said to have contained the C18 village lock-up. (RCHM 9).
