Stone obelisk of octagonal plan in ashlar. Plinth has alternating rectangular and round-headed niches, the latter with small pediments on brackets.

Fluted frieze and moulded cornice above. The whole surmounted by a ball finial in granite. Erected 177l.

The Cross forms a group with the listed buildings in Market Place and Trinity Church Square
