5033 Church of St Barnabas (Clapham Common North Side) TQ 2775 9/10 II 2.

1879. By W Bassett Smith. Decorated Gothic-style church of nave and aisles with pinnacled tower at west of south aisle.

Ragstone with ashlar dressings. Slate roofs with cresting tiles.

Interior yellow brick with bands of red.

Stone and alabaster reredos by Thomas Rudge of Clapham Common.

Two-light window by Clayton and Bell to the memory of the architect.

The building is an important eye-catcher at the north-west corner of Clapham Common.
