Semi-detached pair of cottages. C17 origin - were one house.

No. 46 has plastered walls, thatched roof, plastered stack. One storey and attics.

Single-storey lean-to at south end under catslide roof. Modern panelled door, and stable door in lean-to. Ground floor has two modern casement windows with lead lights. Attic has two half-dormers with similar casements. Interior altered, but main ground floor room has large open fireplace with timber lintel.

No. 47 has walls of brick and stone, part plastered, thatched roof, brick stack.

One storey and attics. Lean-to extension on north has brick walls and tiled roof.

Glazed door. Ground floor has two casement windows with centre glazing bar. Attic has two half-dormers with similar casements.

Internally, main ground floor room has large open fireplace, part blocked, with timber lintel the full width of the building, and bread oven. Projection at rear of house, with blocked opening, may contain further bread oven.

Roof may have been of jointed cruck construction; trusses partly hidden by plaster.

One early chamfered door frame in ground floor partition.
