Property markers. c1837-56, New River Company. Cast-iron. Two types; 'plate' with arched head, projecting rim, cast raised lettering on face, 'NRC' (New River Company), fixed in ground; 'Milestone', slightly tapered with curved top, raised cast lettering 'NRC' (New River Company) on one side, fixed in ground. The property markers appear to date from that period. They do not appear to be set out to a definite pattern.
